Hello!

Hi guys!

As an avid reader, writer, and (hopefully maybe someday) author, I decided it was finally time to make a blog. This blog is going to have a little bit of everything, but the main focus is going to be book reviews, updates on my writing, and baking adventures!

So here's a little bit about me. My name is Morgan Smith and I live in the lovely, if not climate-challenged, state of Maryland. I am book obsessed (my boyfriend thinks I have a real problem), and I read upwards of 10 books a month. I recently finished writing my first book, a midgrade fantasy, and I embarked on the caffeine-fueled adventure of editing. This ended up being a lot of me eating obscene amounts of gummies while making funny faces at my computer screen. By now I'm very ready to go back to writing.

My other main hobby is baking! I'm a vegan so I can't always eat everything I bake, but I do always enjoy making delicious things. Inspired by the Great British Bake Off, I recently decided to try and improve my skills at vegan baking, so you guys will get to see all my attempts at making delicious cakes without using eggs, milk, butter, or any other normal foods.

As for books, I will read anything that's put in front of me, but my absolute favorites are YA and Midgrade fantasy. My favorite authors currently are Sarah J Maas, Rainbow Rowell, Robin Schneider, CS Lewis, and Tolkien. I also love to take pictures of books, which I post on this instagram .

Finally, I design teas based on books, which you can find at this etsy store. My current line there is Narnia themed, and my next one is ACOTAR themed!
